MOON SAND

I will post Pictures later when I remember my camera cord!!!!

Moon Sand-

Let me tell you about how I feel about Moon Sand!!!

Last April for Alan's Birthday Aunt Kimmy bought him Moon Sand. Yes I loved the Idea, thinking it would be a fun thing to play with OUTDOORS at Grandmas or something. However, I was kind of mean and "hid" I mean put it away in his closet. Well recently they have been showing a TON of commercials for moon sand on TV.... moon sand, moon sand- look what you can make.... in case you needed to know. Alan seemed to LOVE moon sand from the commercials- Thats what he wanted from santa! So I ask him what he could "do" or give up to get "moon sand". And by "get"- I mean I find it in the closet... So he tells me he will finally get rid of the bottle and go to the sippy tops! (If you don't know that has been a huge problem from birth)- So I agree with him.

Fast forward to after 4 nights of no "bottle" he asks me again about moon sand. I figure OK- I will be in the kitchen making dinner anyways, maybe he will be distracted with it and I could make dinner without him digging in the butter, or trying to "help" me cook. So I did it- I got out the MOON SAND!!!! His eyes lit up, and he was so happy! He played with his moon sand for almost a 1/2 hour before he was bored with it. I loved that it entertained him and i know I know he needs to be creative.... but you should see the MESS MOON SAND leaves behind....

It looks like I had a green sand fight in my dining area.... and if you are not familiar with moon sand- it is sand that is kind of sticky (think of sandy play-dough). Not real stick, but a little sticky. Every where Alan tried to not step in it but he did is now stuck in my carpet because the vacuum didn't pick it up. Maybe after Thanksgiving I will have time to scrub the sand out of the carpet!

Well if you have listened this far- thank you for listening. Really Moon Sand is a pretty cool thing.. I am just amazed at myself that I actually let him play with it. And Yes Aunt Kimmy- Emma can play with moon sand anytime she wants!! I also think every child in America should have MOON Sand for Christmas!!!

fill in the answer!

Outside my window... it is gray and blah outside. Waiting for rain... and snow to follow soon.

I am thinking... that I really need to work on cleaning my house!

From the learning rooms...we are learning to go potty on the potty!

From the kitchen...A mess of dishes await my arrival....

I am wearing...My pajama's still.
I am creating...hoping at least 2 pages today in Alan's scrapbook.
I am going... to enjoy my day off and spend time with Alan!
I am reading...whatever Alan brings me at the end of the night.
I am hoping...that this holiday will be stress free and family friendly!.
I am hearing...Alan laughing at Sponge Bob Squarepants.
Around the house...It is dark- Alan say's he is going to take a nap so the lights need to be off...

One of my favorite things...Family

A few plans for the rest of the week: Mikes Birthday is tomorrow- and work... Thursday night- Friday and Saturday Days..

Here is my picture thought I am sharing...

This was last week when Alan helped make Pizza for dinner! It was fun for him to create his own pizza! Stressful for me when he wanted all the cheese on one side of the pizza and he wanted hot dogs on his pizza- but that's why we make them at home so they can be made our way!

ho hummm... complainers!

So I am going to ramble a bit! Some of You may know exactly what I am going to say- You may have even been in the room! Why is it that some people have nothing to be thankful or grateful for. Example- Someone comes into work and is kind of grumpy. We tell him to be happy- he says "Why?". Well- You have a job to come to, you have a roof over your head, you can get up every morning- put 2 feet on the ground and walk. You have your health- and that seems to be pretty good health!

OK- of my Box!
Yes Life is tough sometimes, but in today's world I don't think one should be grumpy because they HAVE to come into work, or they HAVE to work with certain people, or we don't have the best coverage on the selling floor. I think some people should be lucky they still have a Job- They could be part of unemployed in our nation. They don't like the pay- well nobody ever likes the pay- but at least it is a pay check! I see so many people when interviewing that just want A JOB- they will work for min. wage- any hours that we need them. As Dr. Phil even put it- a part time job is better than no job! And if your lucky enough to have one- be thankful for it!

Thanks for reading this far! Now I can go to sleep knowing I vented about it!

We are making progress!

We are finally wearing Underwear! Alan would love to know that I am posting this picture of him! Alan is finally going on the Potty! He just started to go after spending time at My moms and going on her Potty- he can go any where now. On Monday he stayed dry almost all day long for Aunt Mary! We got up Tuesday and He stayed dry all day until after Mike got home. He even went potty at Target! Twice!!! He stayed dry at Suzanne's all after noon as well! My big boy is doing awesome! His only down side... going number 2 on the potty. He was holding it in all day because he has a hard time realizing it and he had a belly ache :( His favorite thing was picking out what undies to wear! He loves his mickey mouse and his Hulk undies. With the Hulk ones he has to wear them backward so he can still see hulk! Well sorry to bore everyone with bathroom news but this is a huge success for us! Hopefully we will be diaper free very soon! Alan has his eyes set on going to Chuckee Cheese to celebrate after he is diaper less for a week!
It's amazing how such simple things our children do can keep smiles on our faces all day long! Every time he goes potty he needs to call someone else and tell them what he did- and he just grins from ear to ear! Wow! Life is Good!

Trick or Treat

A little late but worth sharing. Here are the pictures from Halloween this year. We went trick or treating in Montague at Great Grandma King's house. ALL of the kids and my Cousin Jeremy's Kids were there too! It's fun to get all of the kids together! Grandma cooks Chili, Oyster crackers, and home made Mac and Cheese. Even my cousin John and his wife Amy come and pass out candy! This year Alan was the Incredible Hulk! We painted his face green so he didn't have to keep his mask on in the dark! Jordan was Bat girl, Makena was Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz, and Trent was a Lion! Jeremy's girls Kelsey and Cadence wore outfits that their Aunt Amy brought back from China, and Little Jeremy was a Golfer! It was a great night for everyone!

Thank You to all of our Veterans!

Because I love pictures- here are some from this summer when we put Flags at MY Grandpa Plummer's and Great Grandpa Anderson's memorial sight!

And for my current Family serving in the Marine's and Air Force- Thank you Clinton Mulder and Patrick King! Thinking of you both daily!

hummm... back in time....

Well, Here are a few moments that brought me back to the 80's. It was an awesome concert, and I would definetly see them again if I had the chance. I have been to some good concerts in my days- but this was by far the best ever! I had a blast! Yes some called me crazy- but it was something I think every girl who loved The New Kids should experiance again! They played old and new songs- and even hit the high notes like when they were younger!

Trying this Blog thing...

So I have been inspired, and am going to try this Blog thing. I am going to post things from the past few weeks as I have time too- So that everyone can see what we have been up to! Keep checking back!

This is what makes me Smile!

Every Sunday my Mom and Dad have "Sunday Dinner" at their house. We don't get to make it as often as I would like, but when we do this is what it is like! Alan, Makena, and Jordan love spending the time playing at Grandma's together. It is amazing how 3 different kids, with 3 different attitudes can go without fighting all afternoon- well sometimes. They always seem to workout all their problems on their own. Poor little Trent just watches them as they run by and I can't wait until he can keep up with them!

Knowing that Alan has such close cousins is probably what make it OK for me that he will probably be an only child. Here are a few more pictures of the kids spending the day together at Grandma and Papa's House.
Here are the 3 older kids "watching" a movie and having a snack!

This is Trent- Trying to get my Camera! We let the kids play in the family area of the Basement. It is fun to watch them when they don't know your watching ;) They are always coming up with funny stories and new games to play!
